In celebration of the 100th year anniversary of the founding of the Negro Leagues, the Passaic County Arts Center at the John W. Rea House reopens to the public with a collection of historic memorabilia and artworks inspired by the historic Paterson arena.

Local artist Saunders, seeks inspiration from the things around him, in addition to traditional art creators. His technique begins with paper and pen, before reaching his final digital recreation.

Larry Too

Mr. Fabor Muhammad is a Paterson native who overcame the challenging environment of an upbringing in an urban city housing development. He believes in cultivating the inner gifts that human beings have to offer society. He does this by providing arts enrichment and empowering workshops in the community and through his work in the Paterson Public Schools System. He has also worked for several years at the Paterson’s YMCA as a life skills counselor for teenage youth who are in DYFS. He is the Founder and Director of the Creative Force Alliance for Education through Arts & Culture, and a new grassroots community arts program called the ARC (Arts Reforming Communities).
His work has appeared in various art exhibits in New York City including “Art Off the Main” and the “Harlem Fine Art Show.” Annually he curates his own group exhibition for Black Fine Artist called, “The Rising Phoenix!” He is, also the proud illustrator of the children’s book, “Enough of Frankie Already.” A children’s book about bullying

D’ Amico’s creative process usually begins with a series of sketches, which serve as her inspirational catalyst to canvas, paper or wood. Her techniques for the artwork often involve building up areas of color through the application of many layers of paint, latex, compounds and resin to achieve vibrant color effects and multitudes of texture.
She is am an ivy league educated artist and educator with Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Fine Arts in addition to a Doctorate in Education. D’Amico is a New Jersey certified art teacher with over 20 years teaching experience. She has exhibited artwork since childhood and has received numerous awards and accolades along her journey. Her most recent honor is the Visual Artist of the Year Award from the Arts Council of Rockland.
