“The Passaic County Board of Chosen Freeholders is proud to partner with the Friends of Passaic County Parks, to offer the Movies in The Park Series, which affords our residents and families with free entertainment during the summer months,” stated Passaic County Freeholder Director Sandi Lazzara. “We are offering free movies in every corner of Passaic County and encouraging residents to visit the Passaic County Park System this summer.”
The Friends of Passaic County Parks, Inc. is a non-profit corporation established by the Board of Chosen Freeholders to raise private donations and secure grant funding to support the Passaic County Park System and Passaic County’s Historic Sites. In addition to the Movies in the Parks Series, the FOPCP hosts the annual Passaic County Fair, and is launching a Summer Concert Series in 2017. The FOPCP is governed by a volunteer Board of Trustees who work in conjunction with Passaic County staff to run programming and cultural events in the park system, as well as secure grant funding and private donations to finance amenities and upgrades to the park grounds.
“We are proud to join with the Freeholders to offer free entertainment to residents in the Passaic County Park System this summer,” stated Friends of Passaic County Parks, Inc. Chairwoman Alice Szepietowski. “As a Clifton resident, I am excited to kick-off this year’s movie series at the recently improved Weasel Brook Park, and look forward to visiting our parks across Passaic County.”
