The Dey Mansion Washington’s Headquarters is a historic house museum, listed on the State and National Register of Historic Places, curated to provide the visitor an experience of stepping back in time. As you walk through the front door you are transported back to the Colonial Era and the home of Col. Theunis Dey in the year 1780, when it served as General George Washington’s Headquarters.
The museum is operated and maintained by the County of Passaic. Visitors to the Dey Mansion can tour the historic house, view different exhibitions of the collections, and take part in a range of educational and public programming.
Hours of Operation
Due to project work, the Museum remains closed to the public. Grounds tours are available on Saturday and Sunday at 11:00am, 1:30pm, and 3:30pm.
All visitors should call in advance for the daily tour schedule as it is subject to change.

Guided Mansion Tours
The Mansion remains closed due to project work. Ground tours are now being offered on Saturday and Sunday at 11:00am, 1:30pm, and 3:30pm. Grounds tours are free to the public.
Group Visits & Tours
