Join us at the Farm Eco-Center for 9th Annual Plant Sale!

Shop City Green’s selection of vegetable starts for your garden at the 9th Annual Plant Sale.   City Green’s vegetable plants are grown from high-quality, organic seed in locally produced, certified organic potting soil enriched with premium compost. The vegetable plants are hand-seeded, watered, tended to, and hardened off at the Farm Eco-Center. The variety of vegetables available are all tried and true customer favorites and are the same varieties we grow on our own farms for the markets and gardens. 

At the Plant Sale, you’ll find organically-cultivated vegetable starts like herbs, greens, and all your summer favorites from tomatoes and cucumbers to zucchini, peppers, and more. Shop early for the best selection. 

New this year! In addition to vegetable plants, we will also have a selection of pollinator-friendly native perennials that support a healthy ecosystem and can be hard to find at a big-box garden center. Plant selections will include resilient, tried and true species that have a variety of growth habits, bloom times, and site specifications. Species will include echinacea, amsonia, aster, grasses, zizia, geranium maculatum and more!

This year’s plant sale will also feature a seed swap. We’ll have a variety of seeds from our own farm and local seed suppliers for you to bring home to your gardens. Stop by to get some seeds and learn about our Seed Lending Library!

SNAP/EBT, cash, and credit cards are accepted at the City Green Plant Sale. Shoppers paying with SNAP/EBT will receive a 50% off Good Food Bucks discount on vegetable and herb seedlings.
