PCAC Artist Talk Series: Christine Conforti

We are pleased to welcome author, artist, and community advocate Christine Conforti, who will share insights from her creative journey and artistic accomplishments. Conforti believes that art serves a purpose beyond technique or recognition — offering insight, inviting reflection, and influencing those who encounter it. Her work explores themes of love, compassion, and the shared human experience, expressed through moments that may be both comic and tragic.
During this two-hour seminar, Conforti will present a selection of recent paintings created in traditional and naïf styles, demonstrating how artistic ideas emerge through attentive observation of everyday life. She will read her short story and reflect on its connection to the history of Paterson and Passaic County, illustrating how artists often draw inspiration from the character of the communities in which they live.
