The American Labor Museum/Botto House National Landmark proudly announces that it will present the 2022 Sol Stetin Awards to Christian Smalls, President of Amazon Labor Union; Alvina Yeh, Director of the Asian Pacific American Labor Alliance (APALA); Becky Sauerbrunn, President of the United States Women’s National Team Players Association (USWNTPA); Angelica Santomauro, Director of the American Labor Museum (ALM); and Robert Speer, President of International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local 827 at its 40th Annual Sol Stetin Awards Gala. This event will be held on Wednesday, November 16th, 2022 at The Tides Estate, North Haledon, New Jersey beginning at 6:30pm.
The Sol Stetin Award, presented annually since 1982, honors individuals for their outstanding contributions to working people.
The Sol Stetin Awards Gala is a major fundraiser for the American Labor Museum. The Awards are named for Mr. Stetin who was the former president of the Textile Workers Union of America and a founder of the Museum.
The Awards Gala is open to the general public. Tickets at a cost of $125. per person are available by calling the Museum at (973) 595-7953 or by emailing the Museum at labormuseum@gmail.com. A Commemorative Journal will record the names of individuals, businesses and organizations who make donations to the Museum. A Silent Auction will be available at the Gala, offering an additional opportunity to support the Museum and take home terrific gifts, artwork, and collectibles.
