The Totowa Public Library is holding their second session of their Monthly Health Hub on Sodium and Heart Health on Wednesday, February 15th at 12:30pm!
Sodium is an important nutrient that our bodies need to stay healthy. However, there can be too much of a good thing, and too much sodium can contribute to certain health issues, including heart health. Come to this workshop to learn sodium’s effect on the body, how much sodium we need to stay healthy, and which common foods tend to contain the highest amounts of sodium. Presented by Jennifer Shukaitis, Assistant Professor/Educator, Dept. of Family and Community Health Sciences, Rutgers Cooperative Extension. Visit totowapl.org/register or call 973-790-3265.
