Unleash your child’s creativity this summer at Summer Art Camp 2026 at Clifton Arts Center—where young artists are not just taught, but truly mentored.

Designed for children ages 7–12, this inspiring and hands-on program pairs students with professional artists and experienced art educators who are passionate about nurturing the next generation of creatives. At Clifton Arts Center, we believe mentorship is the heart of artistic growth. Our instructors work closely with each child, recognizing their unique gifts and guiding them to build confidence, refine their skills, and discover their own creative voice.

In a relaxed and supportive studio environment, campers will explore a wide range of artistic techniques including painting, drawing, collage, and sculpture. Through engaging lessons and personalized instruction, students will create multiple 2D and 3D works of art while developing foundational skills in design, composition, and visual storytelling. Each participant will also cultivate their own sketchbook—a creative journal that captures their ideas, progress, and artistic journey throughout the program.

As a special highlight, campers will enjoy a private tour of the Clifton Arts Center Art Gallery and outdoor Sculpture Park, complete with an interactive scavenger hunt designed to spark observation, curiosity, and critical thinking.

All art materials are provided. Students should bring a nut-free snack, beverage, and sunscreen each day. Registration fee for residents is $200 and for non-residents is $225.

The program concludes with a celebratory art reception where campers proudly showcase their work for family and friends—an empowering moment that honors both their creativity and growth.

Summer Art Camp 2026 is taught and led by Beth Kearney, a multidisciplinary artist, curator, and dedicated arts educator. A Clifton resident for 25 years, Beth is a staff member at Clifton Arts Center and holds a B.A. in Film Photography from Hampshire College and an M.A. in Humanities and Arts Education from NYU. Her work has been exhibited at respected institutions including the Morris Museum and the Montclair Art Museum, along with other regional galleries and venues.

Give your child more than just an art camp—give them mentorship, inspiration, and the confidence to grow as an artist. Join us this summer for an unforgettable creative experience.
