Our 7th Annual George Washington Symposium will take place at Dey Mansion Washington’s Headquarters, on February 7, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM. This one-day lecture series is held in the Great Hall at Dey Mansion in Wayne, New Jersey. The call for proposals for presentations is open until December 1, 2025.

The event features several short presentations by scholars, historians, researchers, and students; a tour of the mansion and grounds; a luncheon; and networking with history and preservation enthusiasts. Presentations are limited to topics of 18th- and early 19th-century American history and the American Revolution.

Call for Proposals

We are seeking proposals for the 2026 Symposium. Presentations are 20 minutes in length, with time for Q&A by participants thereafter. 

Please submit proposals by the deadline of Monday, December 1st, 2025. Your submission will be reviewed on a rolling basis, and you will be notified no later than December 31st as to whether your proposal has been accepted. Session proposals must include:

  • Proposed title
  • Concise description of the presentation
  • Contact information (phone and email)
