The Hawthorne Historical Society was founded in 2006 by borough residents with the goal of fostering interest in the history of Hawthorne through community-building and educational efforts.
The Hawthorne Historical Society meets monthly on the second Monday of the month. Current topics of discussion include the former geography of the town, historical buildings and residences, and resident memorabilia.
