Loyalist Week Schedule 2025

Step back in time and experience the sights, sounds, and stories of the American Revolution from a different perspective as Dey Mansion, Washington’s Headquarters hosts its second annual Loyalist Week! Join us from Wednesday, May 14th, through Sunday, May 18th, and culminate with a weekend encampment filled with immersive history, interactive activities, and family-friendly fun.

7:00 PM | Tea time Presentation with Todd Braisted, Loyalist Historian Todd Braisted will give a talk on Bergen County Loyalists in the Southern Campaigns, 1779-1782. Tea and Desert will be provided by High SocieTea. (Suggested donation $15. Limited seating to 25 people.) |
Friday, May 16th
12:00 PM | Lunch Time First Person Interpretation First-person talk given by DCHA Staff Paul Maloney as Benjamin Franklin. Paul’s talk is a first-person reflection on Benjamin Franklin’s complicated relationship with his Loyalist son, William Franklin, and the parallels between the Franklins and the Deys. |
