In celebration of the 250th Anniversary of the United States, Passaic County is proud to launch the America 250 Mini Grant Program—an initiative designed to support local organizations in creating meaningful, engaging, and inclusive commemorative activities throughout the County.
This program provides grants of up to $15,000 to municipalities, nonprofit organizations, schools, libraries, and cultural institutions to develop projects that honor the nation’s history while highlighting the unique stories, cultures, and contributions of Passaic County communities.
Funded projects may include a wide range of activities such as community events, educational programs, historiy exhibits, and public art installations and performances. The program encourages creative and diverse approaches that bring residents together, foster civic pride, and deepen understanding of both local and national history.
Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis through December 31st, or until available funding is exhausted.
Priority will be given to projects that:
- Are open and accessible to the public
- Promote inclusive participation across diverse communities
- Reflect the history, heritage, and identity of Passaic County
Through this initiative, Passaic County aims to inspire residents to reflect on the nation’s past, celebrate its present, and actively participate in shaping its future as part of the America 250 commemoration.
