PCAC Artist Talk Series: Mika Samuelle

We are thrilled to welcome Mika Samuelle, a New York City native, who grew up surrounded by artists, authors, and musicians for a special artist talk. Samuelle studied theater in London and went on to create a dynamic career as Stage Manager working on Off-Broadway productions, Broadway musicals, and operas in Italy. Her time with the New York City Ballet, inspired Samuelle to create stories that weave together music and art – bringing to life her imaginative works, Peter Plumber’s Perfect Plan and Shuffle Off to Buffalo.
During this event, Samuelle will share her personal journey through storytelling and dance. Attendees will enjoy live readings of her books and reflections on her experiences in NYC’s theater scene, revealing how creative paths can unfold in unexpected and meaningful ways. The evening will conclude with an interactive tap dance demonstration for all ages. Attendees will be invited to get moving while learning a few fundamental steps, including the classic ‘Shuffle Off to Buffalo’.
