SUMMARY:Spring Stitcheries: Shift Workshop
DESCRIPTION:In this two-day workshop\, learn how to make the foundational garment of women’s wardrobes in the 18th century\, the shift! Participants will come away with a historic shift well underway\, and with the skills to complete the garment on their own. \nSeamstress and historian Kirsten Hammerstrom will be leading this workshop. DESCRIPTION:The “core” members of Bruce Springsteen’s famed E Street Band over time are generally listed as Garry Tallent\, Roy Bittan\, Max Weinberg\, Steven Van Zandt\, Nils Lofgren\, Clarence Clemons\, Danny Federici\, David Sancious\, Vini Lopez\, and Ernest “Boom” Carter. The band would not be what it is today\, however\, if not for a number of strong and talented\, but too often overlooked\, women. \nThis multi-media talk\, presented by Melissa Ziobro\, Museum Curator of the Bruce Springsteen Center for American Music\, will explore the likes of Adele Springsteen\, Marion Vinyard\, Barbara Dinkins\, Dee Holmes\, Suki Lahav\, Patti Scialfa\, Soozie Tyrell\, and others who have supported and shaped the E Street Band from its pre-history to the present. \nJoin us at the Passaic County Arts Center at the John W.
